"God bless Paul's Restaurant, but more specifically Paul's Elbow Room. Whether it's a busy or slow night, you can pretty much count on a good time because of the strong and cheap drinks here. It's the living room of the twenty-something downtown Couve' crowd nowadays. It's a conversation bar for sure. No pool tables or dart boards; just booths and a bar. Good atmosphere if you're into the dive bar thing. But probably not your cup of tea if you want a comfortable place to sit in and have a few drinks with friends."

"Whenever I go to the Couve, I drop by and have a drink here! They make good whiskey and 7! I haven't eaten here yet, but one of these days I will, and I'm sure they won't let me down. There is a parking lot for Paul's Restaurant patrons, plus good street parking."

"We took the family for breakfast here today. A group of seven with no reservations at about 11 a.m. on a Sunday. We didn't wait long to be seated. The waitress was awesome, very personable, and efficient. Many orders of the French toast combo. The food did take a while to arrive but when it did, it was very tasty with the right temperature, just as we had ordered. You get a lot for your dollar here. If you are looking for a yummy and affordable breakfast, this is a great place."
